PRESS RELEASE: GLMCC Sponsors Iftars for Every Night of Ramadan

Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre is pleased to announce that it will sponsor Iftars for every night of
Ramadan. This initiative aims to encourage members of the community to come together and sponsor the cost of Iftar
during Ramadan. Additionally, for the last ten days of Ramadan, Iftar and Suhoor will be provided by the Masjid, and
this will also be sponsored.

The response to the sponsorship has been fantastic, with many nights already having been sponsored. The remainder
of the nights are expected to be sponsored soon as well. With the cost of living affecting many households in
Birmingham, especially in Small Heath where the Masjid is located, in a deprived area, the community will benefit
from the sponsored Iftar every night in Ramadan.

“We are thrilled to be able to sponsor Iftars for every night of Ramadan and provide an opportunity for members of
the community to come together and break their fast” said Humayun Saleem, who manages fundraising at Green Lane
Masjid and Community Centre. “We understand that the cost of living can be a challenge for many families, and we
hope that by sponsoring these Iftars, we can help alleviate some of that burden and make Ramadan a more accessible
and enjoyable experience for everyone.”

Ramadan is a month of spiritual reflection and increased devotion for Muslims around the world. It is a time for
fasting, prayer, and charitable acts. Sponsoring Iftars is a form of charity that has a significant impact on the
community.

Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre is a registered charity dedicated to serving the Muslim community in
Birmingham. They offer a variety of services, including prayer facilities, educational programs, and social services.
They are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the community.
