Humanitarian Relief

Welcome to the Humanitarian Aid arm of Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre. We have been involved in humanitarian work for a number of years.  The number of world disasters and conflicts has seen an unprecedented rise in the displacement of civilians who are the victims of such catastrophes.

Thus, GLMCC has reacted by setting up a new team, Taskforce GLM, to identify areas most in need of aid. Working in partnership with humanitarian charities, Taskforce GLM undertakes activities, which not only deliver aid but also empower local people to support themselves over a longer period. Our mission is to provide support to individuals and families in need and to offer aid to those suffering from disasters around the world. We believe that everyone deserves the right to live a life of dignity and respect.

Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alaihi wa sallam) said,

“The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” [Muslim]

We rely on the generous donations of individuals, businesses and organisations in order to continue our work. Your support helps us to make a real difference to those in need. For further information about current appeals and projects please refer to all our projects HERE.
