Qatf Ath-Thamar Fee Bayaan Aqeedat Ahl Al-Athar
“A concise yet profound book authored by Sheikh Siddiq Hasan Khan, a prominent scholar of the 13th century AH from India. The book serves as a clear and accessible exposition of the creed of Ahl al-Athar (the adherents of tradition), a term associated with those who adhere to the Quran, Sunnah, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). The book is structured as a primer on Islamic creed, addressing key theological principles while emphasising adherence to authentic scriptural sources and avoiding speculative theology.
Al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah fi al-Masa'il al-Fiqhiyyah
A book authored by Imam Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani (d. 1250 AH), one of the foremost scholars of Yemen specialising in Fiqh, Hadith, and Tafsir. This book is one of his most well-known concise works, summarising key jurisprudential issues with clarity and precision.
Imam Al-Shawkani relied on scriptural evidence and avoided strict adherence to any particular madhhab .
“Al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah” has been a foundational text for many scholars and researchers in Fiqh.
It has also been explained in several commentaries, the most notable being “Al-Darari al-Mudiyyah Sharh al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah” by Imam Siddiq Hasan Khan.
Fadl al-Islam
A book authored by Imam Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, one of the most influential figures in Islamic reform. The book emphasises the superiority of Islam, its principles, and its significance in unifying communities while purifying the faith from innovations and deviations.
The work emphasises the importance of adhering to the original teachings of Islam as practised by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions.
Kifayat al-Muta'abbid wa Tuhfat al-Mutazahhid
(The Sufficient Guide for the Worshipper and the Gift for the Ascetic) is a book authored by Imam Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn al-Husayn Al-Mundhiri, a renowned hadith scholar of the 4th century AH. The book is significant in the field of asceticism (zuhd) and worship. It compiles Quranic texts and Prophetic traditions that encourage detachment from worldly pleasures, devotion to acts of worship, and focus on piety. This book serves as a spiritual guide for those seeking to develop a deeper connection with Allah through worship and ascetic practices.
