Al-Istighnā’ bi’l-Qur’ān
This work emphasizes the centrality of the Qur’an as the ultimate source of guidance, knowledge, and spiritual fulfillment. Ibn Rajab explains that true richness of the heart comes from depending on the Qur’an through recitation, reflection, and practice.
Qatf Ath-Thamar Fee Bayaan Aqeedat Ahl Al-Athar
“A concise yet profound book authored by Sheikh Siddiq Hasan Khan, a prominent scholar of the 13th century AH from India. The book serves as a clear and accessible exposition of the creed of Ahl al-Athar (the adherents of tradition), a term associated with those who adhere to the Quran, Sunnah, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). The book is structured as a primer on Islamic creed, addressing key theological principles while emphasising adherence to authentic scriptural sources and avoiding speculative theology.
Al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah fi al-Masa'il al-Fiqhiyyah
A book authored by Imam Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani (d. 1250 AH), one of the foremost scholars of Yemen specialising in Fiqh, Hadith, and Tafsir. This book is one of his most well-known concise works, summarising key jurisprudential issues with clarity and precision.
Imam Al-Shawkani relied on scriptural evidence and avoided strict adherence to any particular madhhab .
“Al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah” has been a foundational text for many scholars and researchers in Fiqh.
It has also been explained in several commentaries, the most notable being “Al-Darari al-Mudiyyah Sharh al-Durrar al-Bahiyyah” by Imam Siddiq Hasan Khan.
Fadā’il al-Qur’ān
The work calls on Muslims to honor the Qur’an by deepening their understanding, regularly reciting its verses, and living according to its guidance in all aspects of their lives.
Al-Tadhkira fi 'Ulum al-Hadith
(“The Reminder in the Sciences of Hadith”) is a book authored by Imam Badr al-Din Abu Hafs Umar ibn Ali ibn Ahmad al-Shafi’i, famously known as Al-Mulaqin (723–804 AH). This book is regarded as an essential introduction to the science of Hadith, focusing on its principles, terminology, and methodologies. Imam Al-Mulaqin’s work has had a lasting impact on the study and teaching of hadith sciences. His concise and systematic presentation makes the book a timeless resource for Islamic scholarship. The principles and methodologies outlined in “Al-Tadhkira fi ‘Ulum al-Hadith” are still studied in Islamic institutions worldwide, reflecting its enduring relevance.
