Sarah Siddiqui

Domestic Violence Support Worker

Sarah has graduated with BA Hons in Social Work and is currently serving the role of a Domestic Violence Support Worker at the Masjid.

After graduating, Sarah found herself quickly undertaking a job as a foster carer which was inspired by the industry’s need for carers of a BAME background. Her experience within this industry has resulted in her enhancing the diversity of her Support Worker role through Muslim Chaplaincy as well as Islamic and Secular Counselling.

She aspires to continue to collaborate and network within the industry in order to become a figure of support for others. Sarah is someone who strives for Khidma (service) in all areas of her life, as the importance of this was instilled in her from childhood and through her strong faith as she remembers the verse: “You are the best people raised for the good of mankind” (3:110).
