Helana grew up in Jordan and later in life moved to Pakistan before arriving in the UK in 2009. She speaks fluent Arabic, Urdu, Pashto and English. Her lived experiences help her to provide the very best support and welfare services to people from all backgrounds and ages, particularly the youth and the elderly.

Helana is a home educator; two of her children are now in higher education, whilst the younger two are still home-schooled. Helana and her family love animals and have enjoyed the company of all sorts of pets at home, including a ferret and a bearded dragon! In her spare time Helana is an avid gardener and a keen DIYer.
