Offer fee paying counselling sessions via Zoom/telephone or in person.
Counsellors are both male and female and are multi-lingual.
Lateef Project
Offer free Islamic counselling to adults living in Birmingham and London.
They provided multi – lingual counsellors and offer 18 session 50 minutes long.
Muslim Women’s Network
Offer counselling in the following languages: Urdu, Bengali, Mirpuri, Arabic and Punjabi. Counselling is offered remotely or in person (Birmingham based only).
Muslim Youth Helpline
Offer non-judgemental, confidential support 7 days a week, 365 days a year including bank holidays and Eid to young Muslims.
Emergency Services
Roshni
Supports BAME communities affected by domestic abuse and forced marriage/honour-based abuse.
They offer a free 24-hour multi lingual forced marriage and honour-based helpline, a refuge for South Asian women only.
National Domestic Abuse Helpline
Offer a free non-judgemental 24-hour 365 days a year multi lingual helpline.
Support given upon calling the hotline include: options for future decision making and help with finding a refuge or specialist service.
Emergency Housing 18+
Provide emergency accommodation to those aged 18 and over, there is no guarantee that accommodation is given. Clients can be expected to face an assessment of their needs.
Emergency Housing 17-18
St Basils offer emergency housing and advice for young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Children’s Advice & Support Service
CASS is a children’s safeguarding service where you can report a concern forchild or request support.
Forward Thinking Birmingham
Birmingham Crisis team is a service that support adults whose mental health
deteriorates significantly, who cannot wait to see the GP or community team and
where urgent support is required. An example of this would be someone
expressing suicide ideation
Mental Health Crisis Team
Call 111 and select option 1 to be put through the mental health services that are
open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
