BACKGROUND TO GLMCC:
Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre is a leading UK mosque situated in the heart of Birmingham serving the
community since 1979. Operating from its award-winning grade II listed Victorian building, GLMCC fulfils its mission of
inspiring, educating and serving through its educational college, outreach work, welfare services, youth work,
international humanitarian wing, as well as its fully functional mosque which is attended by thousands every week.
1. Purpose of role:
Support the Chief Executive Officer by providing high-quality executive assistance alongside leading and
coordinating key organisational projects.
The role will play a central part in supporting delivery across priority areas, with an initial focus on
Education, while maintaining effective executive support to ensure the smooth running of senior
leadership activity.

organisational prioritie
2. Main responsibilities:
Project management:
• Lead and coordinate a range of organisational projects, with a focus on Education projects
• Support planning, delivery, and tracking of key initiatives across different departments
• Ensure clear timelines, ownership, and follow-up of actions
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support delivery of projects and events
• Support development of processes to improve project delivery and coordination
Meeting Coordination:
• Coordinate and support senior leadership and management meetings
• Track actions and ensure follow-up across teams
• Support communication between departments to ensure alignment
Communication and Stakeholder support:
• Supporting in preparing presentations and reports for the board of trustees
• Writing and editing articles and booklets for publication
• Support preparation of internal and external communications
• Assist with stakeholder coordination where required
Executive support:
• Manage the CEO’s diary, priorities, and scheduling
• Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support
• Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations
