Absolute Beginners Qur’an
Fundamentals of the Quran for Absolute Beginners
Recognise and name each letter of the Arabic alphabet
Understand how Arabic letters connect to form simple words
Start reading simple Qur'anic words with correct pronunciation
Juz Amma Quranic Study
Understand the word-for-word meaning and basic tafsir of selected surah from the 30th Juz
Identify and understand the individual Arabic words in selected surahs
Understand literal meanings and the overall message of each surah, through simple tafsir.

Our Qur’an and Tajweed courses are designed to build foundational skills for Qur’an recitation and deepen your understanding of Tajweed. Each level progresses gradually, ensuring that you have mastered the basics before advancing. Throughout these courses, you will learn the following:
Qur’an Year 1
Recognise all letters of the Arabic alphabet in each of their different forms when written individually.
Identify individual Arabic letters when joined together.
Correctly articulate heavy and light letters when reciting the Qur’an
Read Surah Fatihah and the last 3 surahs of the Qur'an with correct pronunciation
Begin your path to fluency in Arabic recitation.
Qur’an Year 2
Recite the Qur’an with basic Tajweed rules.
Correctly articulate heavy and light letters when reciting the Qur’an.
Complete the Qaidah
Read the last 10 surahs of the Qur'an with correct pronunciation
Develop your Tajweed skills while memorising Juz Amma.
Tajweed Year 1
Introduction to Tajweed
Describe the characteristics (sifat) of each Arabic letter
Recite the Qur'an while applying the rules of Makharij and Sifat (Juz’ 29)
Hifdh (Memorisation) of the last 10–16 Surahs from Juz’ 30
Learn how to apply the rules of Makharij and Sifat to your recitation.
Tajweed Year 2
A comprehensive review of foundational topics
Common Errors in Recitation and methods of correction
Definition and function of Noon Sakinah and Tanween
Definition and importance of Madd (elongation) and practical applications of each type
Tilawah of Juz’ 28 with guided correction
Hifdh (Memorisation) of the last 22–26 Surahs from Juz’ 30
Tajweed Year 3
Full review of Years 1 and 2 content
Study of the advanced Idghaam Rules
Study of the rules of Hamzat, the conditions and application

Qur’an Year 1

Applying Tajweed rules for recitation.
Memorising and reciting essential surahs with confidence.
Tajweed Year 1
Deepening your understanding of Makharij
and Sifat.

Course Duration & Pricing
Each course runs for a duration of 3 hours per session (with the exception of Absolute Beginners Qar’an).
Absolute Beginners is priced at £150, Qur’an courses are priced at £220 and Tajweed courses are priced at £315 per year.

You can arrange a catch-up session with the instructor to ensure continuity in your studies.

You need to have completed Qur’an Level 1 or equivalent proficiency to join Qur’an Level 2.
