An Urgent Plea from Our Youth to You
A wake-up call to the Muslim ummah about the challenges our youth face and the urgent need for safe spaces, mentorship, and positive role models.
Last week, in Ramadan, a young person handed in a machete at the masjid. This wasn’t just a knife—it was a symbol of the dangers our young people face every day. But more than that, it was a sign that deep down, they don’t want this life. They want a way out and we need to help them.
Last year after a powerful youth event discussing real struggles young Muslims face, this was handed in to our caretaker. This isn’t just a weapon – it’s a wake-up call. Our youth are struggling, and the dangers they face are real.
At Green Lane Masjid, we’re working tirelessly to guide, mentor, and protect our young people. Through youth events, mentorship, and activities, we’re creating safe spaces and giving them a better path.
Let’s face it – Muslim youth are struggling and are in desperate need for the Muslim community to standup and MAKE a change. Over the past decade Green Lane Masjid have worked with 1000’s of youth. From our work we see our young people CRYING OUT for help but no one is helping them! We are working tirelessly to:
But we can’t do this alone. This Ramadan, we need YOU to step up and be part of the change. Every donation helps us keep our doors open, expand our services, and reach more young people before it’s too late.
Drugs, knife crime, gang violence, rape, arrests, jail, police, destroyed lives. This is the reality of our youth. This video is a pertinent reminder to us all about the reality of our youth. Green Lane Masjid are dedicated to helping our youth and are working relentlessly in guiding our youth.

I was betrayed and manipulated in the worst way possible by someone I loved. The ground beneath me had been yanked away, and I felt rattled. I started to suffer from intense panic attacks and bouts of anxiety. I couldn’t regain my balance.
Everything suddenly felt impossible. My exams were creeping up, my parents were concerned, and I felt more distant than ever from my faith.

We hold seminars on the topic of love and romance in Islam which coincided with Valentine’s day. In a society where our youth are exposed to temptations and sin at every opportunity available.
We have over 1,600 football club attendees annually, 35+ boys and 25+ girls attending weekly youth clubs, and dozens of youth engaged in unique programmes like fencing and overnight camps, we know the demand is growing.
We aim to conteract and tacke this by engaging with our youth in innovative ways.
We ask for your support to help us with supporting our next generation and helping them off the streets and into the houses of Allah عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.
We strongly encourage that you donate at least £100 towards our work or give as much as you can.
