Baseline Assessments:
  • Initial Assessment: : Conduct a diagnostic test at the beginning of the tuition period to identify the student’s current level of understanding in each subject area.
  • Gap Analysis: Identify specific areas of strength and weakness to tailor the tuition plan accordingly.
Regular Testing:
  • Formative Assessments: Weekly or bi-weekly quizzes to monitor ongoing understanding and retention of recently covered material.
  • Summative Assessments: Monthly or end-of-topic tests to evaluate cumulative knowledge and identify areas needing further reinforcement.
Homework and Assignments:

  • Detailed Marking: Provide comprehensive feedback on mock exams, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement.
Are Our Tutors Fully Qualified?

We have a mixture of qualified teachers and subject specialists – with our subject specialists’ the minimum requirements are they need to be carrying out a masters or bachelors in the specific subject at UOB or AUC as well as prior teaching knowledge. Finally, all our tutors go through an enhanced vetting process whereby they are interviewed and assessed by our head of education Mr. Anwar.

Relatability and Rapport:

  • Peer Connection: Students may find it easier to relate to and connect with peers who have recently experienced the same academic challenges.
  • Comfort and Confidence: Being tutored by a peer can create a more relaxed and less intimidating learning environment, helping students feel more comfortable asking questions and expressing difficulties.

Recent Experience:

  • Curriculum Familiarity: Student tutors who have recently studied the same material are often more familiar with the current curriculum and examination techniques.
  • Relevant Strategies: They can share effective study strategies and tips that worked for them, which might be more relatable and applicable.
