Join Us

Join us for a day of adventure, brotherhood and purpose as we take on Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons, all in support of providing cataract eye surgery for people in Somalia.

This is more than just a hike. It is a chance to step away from screens, enjoy the outdoors, strengthen friendships, benefit from an Islamic reminder by Shaykh Mustafa Abu Rayyan, and take part in a meaningful challenge with brothers from the masjid and wider community.

Through your fundraising, you can help restore the sight of people in Somalia who are living with cataracts, helping transform their lives and giving them the opportunity to see clearly again.

Each participant is encouraged to raise £228, which can help fund 3 cataract surgeries for people in need.

Upon confirmation of your registration, you will receive your own fundraising link to share with friends, family and on your social media accounts. This link will allow you to raise funds towards the Somalia Cataract Eye Surgery Appeal and help restore sight to those affected by cataracts.

The hike will take place on Sunday 25th October 2026, with a registration fee of £35 per person, and is limited to 15 participants, so be sure to secure your place early.

This hike is a chance to challenge yourself physically, strengthen your brotherhood, benefit from an inspiring reminder by Shaykh Mustafa Abu Rayyan, and use your time for something truly meaningful.

It is a day of charity, reflection, physical challenge and brotherhood, all while supporting a cause that can make a lasting difference.

Please come prepared with comfortable outdoor clothing, suitable walking shoes or hiking boots, a full bottle of water, a packed lunch and snacks, waterproof clothing and any personal medication you may need.
